Tesla has launched the new Powerwall 2 battery. It can store a whopping 14kW of energy, which is double its predecessor.

One or more Tesla batteries, in conjunction with solar PV, will store the energy your solar PV produces. That means that you can use the energy later on, when you need it, instead of paying your supplier for the energy.

We looked at the interaction between solar PV and a battery in more detail in our last newsletter and you can see the piece here.

The Powerwall 2’s not available to buy quite yet, but if you’re interested do get in touch and we’ll keep you up to date.
