What is the main difference between POWERWALL 3 and POWERWALL 2?
The key difference between the Powerwall 3 and the Powerwall 2 is that the latest model includes an integrated solar inverter and supports larger system sizes. Both energy capacity (13.5 kWh) and warranty (10 years) remain unchanged from the Powerwall 2.
As highlighted by Elon’s tweet on the 8th September 2023, the core improvements offer easier installation and higher power output.
PW3 is optimized for ease of installation & high power, which means that a single Powerwall can serve as an uninterruptible power supply for most homes.
This is a big deal for ensuring that the lights stay on and you can power all your devices in the event of a power outage.

When is the Tesla Powerwall 3 available in the UK?
No dates for the UK release of Tesla’s latest Powerwall have been formally announced. Tesla’s UK website is yet to feature a Powerwall 3 listings however the main US site lists includes product specification along with a message “coming 2024”.

No pricing has been announced but considering the additional features it would fair to assume there would be some price differential between Powerwall 2 and Powerwall 3 due to the inclusion of the Solar Inverter.
