With news that the SunGift Solar Van is available to community groups, organisations and businesses for their events (generating free energy for various purposes), our customers have increasingly been reporting sightings of it here there and everywhere.  And not only has it made appearances at a number of events around the region, but also it has been touring the streets of the South West (extolling the benefits of solar PV!) and it has just been confirmed that it will be appearing at BBC Radio 5 Live’s “Energy Day” on 5 September (http://goo.gl/JJL9a4). The whole day’s Five Live broadcasting will be powered by renewable energy and the day’s schedule will be dedicated to the approaching power shortage facing the UK.

The van was a big recent attraction at the Totnes and District Agricultural Show, Navy Day at Yeovilton (see the video here of the Red Arrows display over the top of the van, http://youtu.be/d4TocOZCVsI), the North Devon Show, which was visited by prime Minister David Cameron,  and it’s even gained coverage in international publication Solar Power World (http://www.solarpowerworldonline.com/2013/08/an-shows-off-the-power-of-renewable-energy/).

Over the coming month the van will also be on show at The ‘Resilience Show 2013 – sustainable products for business and pleasure'(http://goo.gl/lmkOVK).

Why not come along to one of the above events to see us and to see how the van can supply power to remote locations, events or even emergencies where power cuts have occurred.  Or alternatively, if you would like to make use of the van at your event, check its availability by contacting Gary Cook on 01392 213912or gary@sungiftsolar.co.uk.
