Not only are solar panels doing wonders for lowering the electricity bills of existing houses – they’re also being specified for new-builds, including exclusive developments, resulting in zero-carbon homes.

If you’d like to see just how good solar panels can look on a new-build property – and how they seamlessly integrate with the other energy-saving measures to produce zero-carbon homes – take a look at this video, which includes SunGift’s installation at Holland Park in Exeter.

We’ve spoken before about how we’ve worked with award-winning developer Heritage Homes on this project, so the video is a great opportunity to see inside (and on top!) of the houses and discover just how important the solar panels were to the overall build.

We designed the PV systems using the latest black-framed BenQ 250 kWp PV panels, which is one of the reasons they integrate so well with the design.

When we installed the systems Guy Olliver, Commercial and Technical Manager at Heritage Homes, said: “When we were choosing a solar PV installer, we wanted a company that shares our passion for outstanding quality, exceptional standards, and commitment to customer satisfaction, and SunGift Energy fitted the bill perfectly.”
