New head of business development will focus on providing enhanced renewable energy services for south west companies and householders

SunGift Solar has appointed management specialist Neil Durno as head of business development to ramp up its services for south west companies and householders.

In the newly-created role Neil – who has more than 15 years of combined experience in renewable energy sales and global distribution – will focus on helping customers benefit from more affordable and cleaner energy.

“SunGift’s business has developed hugely over the past couple of years, so I am joining the company at a very exciting time,” said Neil.

In recent months SunGift has opened an expansive new trade distribution centre and taken on a growing number of commercial-scale projects.

As SunGift has developed, we have grown up with some of the best and most highly-regarded manufacturers in the industry and become known for our outstanding service and dependability.  These manufacturers trust us to distribute their products and offer the necessary technical backup, and I hope to develop these relationships further so that our householders and businesses get even more benefit from the services we provide for them

A highly-trained management professional, Neil’s previous role was as a UK national sales manager for renewable energy equipment manufacturer PRAMAC, following a longer career at global electronics distribution company RS Components.  A specialist is sales management, Neil is also an experienced trainer and an accomplished in implementing strategic change programmes.

When he’s not working for SunGift, Neil, enjoys coaching his local youth cricket team, following F1 motor racing, and relaxing with his family.
