It’s taken almost two years of planning and preparation, but SunGift has finally secured the contract to supply a commercial biomass boiler at Escot House in Devon.

The historical estate near Ottery St Mary, has undergone significant renovations since 1985, including a solar PV system installed last year by SunGift, and now the estate is hugely boosting its green credentials with a 200 kW biomass boiler that will not only provide heat and hot water for the manor house, but also for the a number of other residential properties on the estate, the restaurant, and for the estate’s office.  The boiler will be heated using locally sourced woodchip – supplied by Devon wood fuel heating specialists Forest Fuels – with a view to producing their own fuel using the estate’s woodland.

Although we’ve got tremendous experience in biomass installations – both domestic and commercial – this will be our largest to date, so keep your eyes peeled for more information on this impressive project.
