That’s why we’re waiting with baited breath for our first delivery of the new JA Solar 285W panels – because their launch follows on from feedback that we gave to the manufacturer on the optimum energy of their next generation of panels
Until now, the standard for a 4kWp domestic solar PV system has been 16 x 250 Watt panels. However, following consultation, JA Solar are ready to deliver the first in their new range of 285 Watt panels, which means that a high-quality 4kWp system can be achieved with just 14 panels. Not only does this mean that less roof space is needed to install a domestic PV system, but also that jobs will take less time to install and there will be less wastage in terms of packaging and less environmental impact for transportation and manufacturing.
Aside from the fact that a 4kWp system will require 12.5% less roof space, the modules also have excellent 17.43% efficiency, 11% more power production per unit compared to standard modules, and exceptional performance in low-light conditions, making them a great choice for use in the UK market.
