Renewable Heat Incentive figures finally announced by the government

Just as we were about to go to press with this month’s SunGift News, the government released figures for the domestic renewable heat incentive (RHI), which will be launched in spring 2014.  We’re still crunching all of the figures here at SunGift, but with higher payments thathan originally announced, our first impressions are that domestic heat pumps, solar thermal, and biomass boilers will be an excellent financial investment for householders, making the move to renewable heat much more beneficial (more below).

Another trend that makes generating your own renewable energy look even more attractive is that the average price of electricity has gone up again recently.  And with sunny weather like we’re currently experiencing in the UK, PV systems are producing exceptional results (see Met Office update below).

This year we’ve now seen Feed-in tariff rates stabilise and attractive RHI figures released, which means SunGift can focus even more on using our skills and experience to give even better value to customers.  In this month’s SunGift News you’ll also find stories on Kelly Bloomfield – one of our project managers, the Big Bang show, biomass at Burrow Farm, BenQ black black panels, and more.

Best wishes
