John joins SunGift’s business development team
All SunGift staff are experts in their field, but we also have a reputation for employing people that have interesting life experiences and understand the needs of our customers.
Our new commercial business development manager John Hughes certainly fits the bill, having previously worked for German installer Sunfarming UK.
“I love dealing with people and working for SunGift is an exciting opportunity for me as I have not only studied renewable energy but also have a particular passion for solar PV and biomass. There are hundreds of acres of roofspace that are not being used in the UK which could be used to generate renewable energy. My aim is to show businesses just how big an opportunity this is for them.
Before working in the renewable energy industry John had a four-year stint in the USA, as managing director of sports clothing company Subside US. He then took up a new challenge for actor and football nut, Anthony LaPaglia and his Hollywood United FC. John was heading up the launch and branding of a merchandise range, raising the profile of a team of ex-footballers and Hollywood celebrities that included Vinnie Jones, Jason Statham, Robbie Williams and Frank Laboeuf to name but a few.
