It always makes you feel good when you’ve contributed to someone’s success, so we were delighted to find out that Woodovis Park holiday park, near Tavistock, has just won a Green Tourism’s 2013 Goldstar Award.

A few years ago SunGift installed a solar thermal system for the park, which is used to heat the holiday park’s swimming pool, and last week it was announced that they received the sustainable tourism accreditation programme’s Best Holiday Park & Camping Site award.  The awards honour businesses and organisations that are considered to have done the most to promote sustainability within the industry.

In addition to their solar thermal system, the park also has solar PV system and other energy saving measures installed.

The Green Tourism award was picked up by Woodovis Park proprietors John and Dorothy Lewis.
