SunGift is proud to announce that we are even more ‘award winning’ than before, with two new titles to add to our growing collection.

In November 2017 we were given the MADE IN DEVON AWARD and OVERALL WINNER AWARD at the Devon Environmental Business Initiative (DEBI) Awards Ceremony. Each year DEBI recognise the efforts of those Devon businesses that operate in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner, judging everything from the company’s environmental values to the wider applications of its actions. From among a wide range of entrants, SunGift was deemed worthy of these two awards. To understand why we won, you need to understand what SunGift is all about.

Our mission is to help Devon and the rest of the U.K. become a greener place. The South West itself already has exceptional natural resources for renewable energy, and as a successful renewable energy company we feel we can help this area and others make the most of green opportunities and boost the growing ‘green’ economy.

Both the core values of the company and the quality of the service we offer have been recognised and awarded numerous times over the years.

It is important for us at SunGift to practice what we preach and we deliver on our core values in many ways, such as: using 100% renewable energy in our offices and warehouse, implementing a ‘cycle to work’ scheme to encourage employees not to drive unnecessarily, using suppliers that share the company’s environmental values, recycling onsite and of course, delivering renewable energy solutions to households and businesses in the South West and beyond.

In the course of our work SunGift have empowered hundreds of customers to generate their own free, green energy. Together, our customers have saved thousands of tonnes of  emissions, and we hope to help save thousands more. Additionally, as the Earth’s supply of fossil fuels dwindles ever further, we are able to offer our customers increased energy security for years to come.

We also make a concentrated effort to spread our knowledge as far and wide as possible. Our experts regularly speak at events for communities and businesses in order to raise the profile of renewables and show just how accessible they are. For example, earlier this year we were at Darts Farm presenting to homeowners and businesses about Tesla’s new battery storage. We are also more than happy to share our principles and knowledge with the rest of the industry in order to help the whole sector strive towards excellence, which in turn will increase the number of renewable energy installations, significantly reducing carbon emissions.

As a respected expert in renewable energy it’s reassuring to know that the high-quality work SunGift does, and the environmental practices it follows, will help influence the actions of other and have a positive effect on the environment.
