“Three months of research into PV installations and 50 quotes later I came across the best in the business, SunGift Solar. There are more cowboys in this business than when double glazing started. SunGift Solar came back with all the right Tec. answers, the trades men to back it up and finally what fantastic price. PV has been working for one year now - what a pay back!!!! ”

“This is an exceptional company, both for quality of advice, product and installation. They are the best company we've ever dealt with after 25 years of having work done on various properties. As I said to one of them "You don't seem to do problems, you only do solutions!" Having work done in the house is often a chore but these guys made it seem like fun and they were good to have around.”

Solar Thermal Hot Water

solar panels and Solar thermal from Sungift

Solar Thermal systems involve panels which generate free hot water, using the energy of the sun. Solar thermal is suitable for domestic or commercial use. The technology can be used in conjunction with boilers, heat pumps and wood burners, as an effective way of reducing reliance on expensive fossil fuels. It is a tried and tested technology and has been in use in the UK since the 1950's, being particularly well suited to our climate.

The benefits of solar thermal

  • Generate up to 60% of your domestic hot water for free: A well designed solar thermal system, depending on your location, will typically produce up to 100% of your domestic hot water during the summer (averaging at 60% throughout the year).
  •  Free energy from the sun for at least 20 years: Once installed, a solar thermal system will operate with minimal running costs and will continue to deliver free energy from the sun for 20 years, as a minimum.
  • Reduce your reliance on fossil fuels: Using the energy from the sun decreases reliance on gas, coal and oil, thereby protecting you from rapidly rising fuel bills, as well as reducing harmful carbon emissions.

The Sungift Approach

The design and configuration of solar thermal systems is critical for achieving optimal performance and greatest energy savings.  Equally, sizing a system requires an in-depth analysis of a site's current and future energy requirements and an understanding of the best way to integrate the specialist components with an existing plumbing configuration.  This is why our in-house Design Team work closely with our experienced engineers to ensure that we provide the best solution for your individual needs. SunGift Solar are also expert at installing solar thermal panels, having specialised in them since we started operating in 2005.
