SunGift Solar have been nominated for the 2009 Green Energy Installer of the year award!
The shortlists has now been announced for, following a record number of entries this year. The awards, which celebrate the achievements of individuals, groups, sustainable energy companies, and local authorities in furthering the development of sustainable energy in South West England, are now in their sixth year and had two new categories – installer of the year and sustainable energy photo of the year.
The following have been shortlisted:
Best business innovation: SeaGen; Renewable Energy Co-operative; Anaconda; Fairford
Most proactive local authority: Devon County Council; Stroud District Council
Best large renewable energy scheme: Castle Drogo, biomass boiler; Shooter’s bottom wind farm in Somerset
Best small renewable energy scheme (under 100kW): Middlemoor community fire station, Exeter; The Clifton Lido, Bristol
Best housing scheme: The Mill Meadow tourism project; South Wiltshire Agenda 21 housing scheme; Ashley Vale Action Group
Installer of the year: Ecovision Systems Ltd; Jim Shearman; Sungift Solar; SolarSense
South West Sustainable Energy Champion: Bernice Roberts; Alan Bailey; Richard Parkinson
Sustainable Energy Photo of the Year: Liz Eve; David Moore
The awards will be presented by Jonathon Dimbleby on Tuesday 10 November, at the Bath Assembly Rooms.
