SunGift Solar are proud to have been recognised at the recent Express and Echos Business of the Year competition, narrowly missing out on top honours in the nights most prestigious award alongside multinational companies many times our size. The prizes were awarded by Dragons Den Star Deborah Meaden at a glittering awards ceremony at Sandy Park. Our team of just 25 were up against some strong opposition from companies including EDF Energy and Gregory Distribution, finally being pipped to the post by Flybe.
The Express and Echo’s business awards were launched to recognise the recession-busting achievements of firms in the Exeter area. This award was specifically for a profitable business that has a strong financial performance; innovative products, services and processes; and expansion into new markets and different areas of business activity. Being nominated shows how much progress both we and renewable energy have made in the past few years. Our success in these awards demonstrates that you don’t have to be a huge business to make your mark – you just need the right ethos, hard working staff, and an emphasis on high levels of customer service.
In addition to our success in the Express and Echo awards, we have also been fortunate enough to have other recent awards’ success. We have reached the final of the South West Green Energy Awards for Installer of the Year for the past two years, winning the category in 2009 and earlier this year reached the finals of the national Rosenblatt New Energy Awards. Last year we reached the national finals of the CORGI Green Installer of the Year award.
We are of course thrilled to bits to have been recognised at the Express and Echo’s Business Awards and look forward to a busy year ahead.
