SunGift Solar has shown once again that it is the most respected renewable energy installer in the whole of the south west of England, after taking the top spot in the region’s Green Energy Awards last night.

Rob Emony, head judge for the category, said: “SunGift Solar has demonstrated an exemplary professional ethos, outstanding business performance, unrivalled customer service and satisfaction, and an exceptional increase in the number of installations and megawatts they’ve installed.”

We were awarded our accolade last night at a glittering awards ceremony at the Assembly Rooms in Bath. Our 45-strong team beat off strong opposition from renewable energy companies – large and small – across the south west.

This is the second time that we have won the award, after taking the title for the first time in 2009. The ceremony was hosted by BBC Radio 4 Business Correspondent Simon Jack.

SunGift’s founder and managing director Gabriel Wondrausch said: “This is an exceptional achievement and rounds off a very successful year for us. We’ve had an exceptional year, from carrying out ground-breaking solar PV installations at Darts Farm to working on smaller bespoke projects including solar hot water and heat pumps for customers. As we’ve grown, we’ve taken on a dedicated team off designers, project staff, surveyors, and renewable energy installers – and this accolade is a great reward for all their tremendous efforts.”

Over the past 12 months SunGift has continued our impressive business record, which has included fitting more renewable technologies, increasing our turnover, installing over 1,000 kW of renewable electricity, and supplying equipment for over 8,000 kW of installations.

SunGift has also spent the majority of the year as the most recommended renewable energy installer on the UK on consumer site YouGen.

It’s hugely rewarding to be recognised for your high quality work and the level of customer service you provide, and as the Green Energy Awards are the most prestigious event in the south west renewables’ calendar, it makes our success even sweeter.”

Now in their eighth year, the South West Green Energy Awards celebrate the best elements of renewable energy in the Westcountry, highlighting individuals and companies that stand out above the rest. In the award for Best Renewable Energy Installer or Supplier category, judges were particularly looking for the renewable energy installer that
