Good Energy will today become the latest energy supplier to announce an increase in consumer gas prices. However, the company will at the same time reiterate a commitment to freeze the price of the electricity it sources solely from renewable technologies such as wind turbines and solar panels.

The utility is set to announce that gas prices for all customers will rise 9.4 per cent from 6 September, despite stating at the start of the year that it was hoping to fix gas costs until the end of 2011.
