Solar thermal hot water systems are currently the most common form of domestic renewable energy generation. Generally, they are used for water heating, providing up to 70% of your annual hot water demands. In the right situation solar thermal panels can also be used to contribute to space heating.

Q: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The cost of a solar thermal system is determined by the size and type of system. An average domestic system from SunGift Solar costs between £3,500 and £5,500. There are various grants currently available, please see our Grants page or contact us on 01392 213 912 for more details.

Q: WILL I NEED PLANNING PERMISSION?

In most cases no, unless you live in a conservation area or listed building in which case you will need to contact your local authority.
