Biomass Energy

Biomass systems can be used to supplement or replace your existing boiler to provide heating and hot water. The biomass systems SunGift Solar install include wood burning stoves, log, chip and pellet boilers. Biomass systems are very well suited to older properties with good fuel storage facilities. If you can supply your own wood, even better!

Biomass systems are very well suited to being combined with solar thermal systems, as you can use the solar thermal for your water heating requirements in the summer, and the biomass burner to provide heat during the winter. This gives you a chance to replenish your wood stock during the summer months while the solar is at its most productive.

Wood burning stoves

The most basic form is the wood burning stove. Wood burning stoves can be used to provide space heating for the room that they are situated in, or if an addition back boiler is attached, space heating to radiators and hot water too. Amoung the wooorburning stoves we use are the locally manuafctured Woodwarm stoves.

Log multi-fuel Boilers

Log multi-fuel Boilers are rugged systems which run on logs, chips and pellets. They have a fully automated control system to ensure that they are burning efficiently. They are extremely robust and well suited to larger, old houses with high heat requirements.

Pellet Boilers

Pellet Boilers are the most efficient and automated of the biomass systems. They come with self-feeding systems and fully automated controls, which can even be set from a mobile phone! A pellet boiler can replace your existing boiler completely.
